I had my first opportunity to photograph a wedding this summer for Rachel and Dean! You can check out the blog post HERE!
This is a quick slideshow of some of the photo highlights from their beautiful and crazy hot day followed by a few photos!
Prior to the wedding shoot, when Willow Acres first opened, wedding planner Ashley Brooke Weddings, set up an incredible styled shoot which I was fortunate to be a part of. There were an incredible group of vendors who all played a part in bringing this shoot to reality.
This photo shows the beautiful styled shoot couple in front of the venue. Beautiful windows provide a nice amount of diffused light into the building throughout the day.

The view looking out from the main entrance is impressive. Tons of soft light is let into the building as the view is to the north. This avoids the harsh sunlight from the south and can be easier to capture beautiful natural light portraits. The daylight doesn’t do justice to show off the impressive chandeliers but once evening arrives and the natural light fades, they would make for some incredible pictures!

The south side of the building offers a clean area to get creative with some off camera flash. This was shot around 5pm in the summer so it appears much darker then the natural real light at the time!

The surrounding trees and shaded area of the property provide so many spaces to get beautiful portraits amongst nature. The green backdrop in the summer will be even more impressive once the leaves start to turn in the fall. Should make for a gorgeous fall photo environment!

Below is another shot from the same spot.

Back in the building, the bridal getting ready suite offers multiple mirror stations for makeup, hair, etc along with some relaxing furniture to hang out on. There is also a groom/groomsmen hang out room separate from the bridal suite with separate entrances. Very handy to keep the bride hidden until the time is right!

This is a creative portrait taken in the bridal suite with the use of the make-up artist’s ring light.

A more natural view of the bridal suite.

This Willow Acres styled shoot really had everything. Beautiful floral arrangements from Bloom Floral in Winkler, Manitoba really helped set the feel of a wedding day on this shoot! The amazing “bride” was wearing an incredible dress from Livienne Bridal from Winkler. The make up was done by Sara.Claire.Mua, and hair by Jennalee_hairstyling and Fringe Hair Salon in Morden. The linens were from Planned Perfectly out of Winnipeg, table rentals from Collective Rentals from Winnipeg, decorative rentals from Something Borrowed (Winnipeg), and beautiful signage from Parasayo (Winnipeg).

These outdoor photos are under an attached covered patio. This spot would be perfect for supper, dancing, or just catching some shade during the day.

The beautiful cake and sweets came from Sweet Impressions in Winnipeg and the stationary from Just Create by MJ (Winnipeg). I wasn’t able to get time to capture the ring boxes but they were supplied by White Willow Co.
