If you’ve never visited the historic Bella’s Castle in Morden, Manitoba, you really need to go check it out. For weddings, senior sessions, family photos, it really is a magical spot for photography. If you’re just looking for a great dining or hotel experience, it has you covered there as well!
My main experience with has been taking photographs on their property. I’ve had the pleasure of taking wedding, engagement, and senior photos at this incredible venue. Depending on time of year, you’ll always find something a little different due to the blooming of flowers or changing fall colours. This variety really makes Bella’s Castle stand out as a premier venue in southern Manitoba.
I’ve written a full post on why Bella’s Castle is excellent for photographers HERE but I’ll give the quick reasons here. Check out that post for a more detailed breakdown!
These are my favourites of all the ones I’ve taken at this venue. There is a mix of emotional moments, creative flash shots, and just natural portraits. This variety and mix make taking photographs here such a breeze.
As mentioned earlier, the variety of scenes, lighting conditions, backdrops, and more really make this venue appealing for photography. Below is a wedding slideshow I made for a recent wedding I photographed here. The owners Lily and Chris are incredibly accommodating and have been great to work with from a photographer vendor perspective.
Their website also features a blog full of super helpful wedding planning and venue tips. With articles on Covid wedding planning, wedding trends, and why it’s a great place for photographers, you’ll find great info to help with planning your wedding.
