Southern Manitoba Photographer
Martin Carson
Hey, I’m Martin! So glad you’re here and I’m truly looking forward to capturing photos that you love and sharing time with you from behind my lens. I know how much it means to place your trust in a photographer, and in an unforeseen twist of events, it’s how I actually became a photographer!
After my wife and I received our own wedding photos several years ago, we were disappointed and unhappy with the results. On one of the most important days of our lives, we didn’t have the beautiful photographs to look back on. I felt it was a craft I wanted to dedicate time to learning in order to provide a truly memorable experience for other couples.
And here I am! After countless hours of peering through a tiny viewfinder, a couple awful photos – okay, more like many thousands! – and seemingly endless self-education, I’m so proud of the memories I’ve captured for my clients.
My craft is continually deepened and refined, and the easy-going nature of my process is why many of my clients continue to eagerly refer others to Ice and Fire Photo! I’m busier than ever truly loving the process of helping people throughout southern Manitoba create stunning photos to bring them back and relive those special memories.

My Cinematic Style

Candid Documentary
Most of the wedding day consists of you pretending I’m not there. Enjoy your day and experience it all while I do my thing quietly without much disturbing.

Cinematic Portraits
When time allows, I love to bring out some lights to really make my subjects pop!

Variety
With a wide variety of lenses, I like to get right close and super wide on some angles to show off your environment.
More Facts About Me

I’m originally from Neepawa, MB. My wife and I lived in Miami (MB, not FL) for 10 years before recently moving to Morden, Manitoba with our two kids!

I’m a big fan of cats. We’ve had our lovely Sophie since we moved to Miami over 10 years ago.

Dogs are growing on me too though as we welcomed Izzy to our family in 2023. She’s adapting well but Sophie has not welcomed her addition to the home lol
